Use this form to set up and edit your inventory items.
When you are creating a new inventory item, data is entered on these tabs (except the Transactions tab, which updates with information once transactions have occurred):
You can also create a item by copying an existing one, with an option to select specific copy options, enabling you to copy details relating to costs, locations, prices, and the like. and basic details about the item.
Click the
icon to delete an item record,
but only if no transactions have
been processed for the item. In addition, you can't delete an item if
it is selected in a stocktake.
You can access these forms by clicking the buttons on the right side of the Inventory Item Maintenance form. The form that opens is pre-populated with details of the item that was selected on the Inventory Item Maintenance form when you clicked the button.
Note: The available options are based on modules in use (for example, the Serial/Lot button is not available if the Serial/Lot module is not activated) and User Preferences.
