Bin Adjustments and Transfers

Use this form to adjust quantities and make transfers to or from bins within a stocking location.

The form only adjusts quantities at the bin level when:

Example 1

To set up location 05.001 as a bin-managed location, use the adjustment form to put a quantity of 10 into the location's bins. Set up location 05.001 to use multi-binning. Create the individual bin locations for it.

Once you've created the bin locations, use the Bin Adjustment form to adjust balances into the bin locations.

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Transaction Type

Select Adjustment for a transaction of this type.

Reference

Greentree generates the reference using the automatically-generate code parameters you have set up on the Inventory Module Control form.

Narration

Enter a narration for the adjustment. You can also enter individual line narrations if required.

Enter multiple adjustment lines within one reference. The Location is the stocking location for the adjustment, and you must select the Bin into which you are adjusting the quantity.

Note: If you are entering a negative adjustment, enter the quantity as a negative number — for example, -10.

When you save the adjustment, the item's balances update. The stocking location balance remains unchanged, but the bin balances update based on the adjustment.

Example 2

If a positive adjustment is made into AK.001.S01, Greentree Desktop picks quantities in bin suspense first.

The stocking location balance remains unchanged, but the bin balances update using the adjustment. The quantity of 3 that was adjusted into bin S01 is taken from the suspense quantity, reducing the suspense quantity to 2.

Example 3

If a negative adjustment is made to AK.001.L01, Greentree Desktop picks quantities in bin suspense first.

The stocking location balance remains unchanged, but the bin balances update using the adjustment. The quantity of 2 that was adjusted out of bin L01 is absorbed by the suspense quantity, depleting the quantity in bin suspense.

Serial/Lot

If the item you are adjusting or transferring is serial/lot controlled, you must specify the serial/lot number of the quantity you are adjusting or transferring.

Bin Adjustment Report

You can hotprint a WBM Adjustment report by clicking the Printer icon on the toolbar of the Bin Adjustment form.
