Use this tab to decide what the rule does — for example:
Record types also have pre-defined actions, like require approval for this document.
If you select this option, the traffic light icon on the form turns yellow when you save a record and remains that colour until the document is approved or rejected.
The rule can perform more than one action — for example, you can put the document on approval hold and send an email to an approver notifying them that the document is awaiting their approval. You can assign both actions to the rule by clicking the Add button to the right of the Actions dropdown list.
Once an action is defined, an additional form opens allowing entering details for the action.
Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Lists all the actions that apply to this rule.

Enter or select the action for this rule. There are a number of possible actions for each record type, such as Require Approval for this Invoice for AP. You can choose these actions for each record type:
