Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Tax File Number

Enter the employee's tax file number (TFN).

When entering tax file numbers for employees, ensure the numbers are entered as a string with no separating characters such as spaces, dashes, slashes and the like.

You can enter these numbers if the employee meets the criteria:

Note: The Tax File Number field is mandatory when you select the option Include in the next submission to the ATO on this form, or when the company reports payroll using Single Touch Payroll.

Payroll Tax Trans Type

This field defines the rate of payroll tax for this employee. Enter or select the payroll tax transaction type to use with the employee.

SGC Min/Max Check

Enter an SGC Employer Cost transaction type for this employee. This field checks for the minimum and maximum SGC thresholds used in the automatic reconciliation of SGC amounts.

Greentree Desktop checks for the minimum and maximum SGC (Superannuation Guarantee Charge) thresholds used in the automatic reconciliation of SGC amounts. When creating payments, Greentree Desktop checks these values and amends the pay. A warning displays when any pay is amended when payments are created.

SGC Custom Threshold

Select a SGC Custom Threshold from the dropdown list box. The default is No custom threshold, which uses the SGC threshold specified on the Super subtab on the Payroll tab on the HR Module Control form.

If you select a custom SGC threshold, Greentree Desktop uses the custom SGC thresholds specified on the SGC Custom Threshold Maintenance form.

Normal Gross Earnings

You can set this option to Module Control Default, or select to either of:

Employment Details

Employment Basis

Select one of these options:

The default is Full Time.

Income Type

Select one of these options:

The default is Salary and Wages.

Country

If you select Inbound Assignees to AustraliaWorking Holiday Makers or Foreign Employment Income for the Income Type field, select a country for this field.

Total Tax Offset Amount

Enter the amount by which the employee can reduce the tax they must pay.
