Manufacturing Preferences


User this form to set user preferences for the Manufacturing module.

There are three tabs on this form:

Manufacturing Tab

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Allow link to sales orders

This option is enabled if you're using the Sales Order and Factory Order Linking modules. If you select this option, you can link factory orders to backordered sales order lines from the Factory Order Entry form.

Load BOM structure for all bills

Select this option to view a graphical representation of all bills of material on the Bill of Materials Maintenance form. If you don't select this option, only the selected parent item displays in graphical format when you load the Bill of Material Maintenance form.

Load when form loads

This option is enabled if you select the Load BOM structure for all bills option.

If you select this option, the graphical view of all bills displays when you open the Bill of Materials Maintenance form. If the option is not selected, use the Show option on the Bill of Materials Maintenance form to show the graphical representations.

Default Location

This is the location that defaults to Factory Orders created by the user.

MRP (Material Requirements Planning) Tab

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

MRP Review Colours

This section of the form is enabled if you're using the Material Requirements Planning module. You can define the colours used for planned orders and action messages on the MRP Review form. Click a button to open the form to choose a colour.

OK

Click this button to confirm the details you have entered for this user and save them.

Cancel

Click this button to cancel the addition or change to this user.

Planning Board Tab

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Show an order per row

If you select this option, the Planning Board form opens and displays one order per row. If you don't select this option, the Planning Board form displays one inventory item code per row.

Display on board

Select the value to display on the Planning Board:

  • Factory order number
  • Quantity outstanding
  • Quantity required

Date ranges on

Select the option relating to which date range is used in the Planning Board display:

  • Required date
  • Release date

Column width

Defines the default column width of the Planning Board table.

Row height

Defines the default row height of the Planning Board table.

Colours

You can select a colour scheme to apply to orders or rows with a specific status, so they are more easily identifiable in the Planning Board table:

  • Order not started (colour applies to text colour).
  • Order in progress (colour applies to text colour).
  • Single order (colour applies to background colour).
  • Multiple orders (colour applies to background colour).

To change the colours, click a button. A colour chart displays.
