Setup

Enter this information if you are using the Factory Order Linking module:

Company Maintenance

Select the Factory Order Linking Sales Order sub-module in Company Maintenance.

SO User Preferences

Select the Allow link to Factory Orders option in Sales Order User Preferences. Users can link backordered sales order lines to a factory order from the Sales Order Entry form.

Manufacturing User Preferences

Select the Allow link to Sales Orders option in Manufacturing User Preferences. Users can link factory orders to backordered sales order lines from the Factory Order Entry form.

Note: Each user can be enabled to use either one of these options, both options, or no options. You can have some control over who is authorised to create links from Sales Order and Factory Order data entry forms.
