Options Reference
Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.
Station code
Enter a unique code to represent the station, up to 30 characters. The default value is the name of the computer. If the station is set up with this as the station code, Greentree Desktop assumes that this is the station you use to access the Point of Sale Entry form from that computer.
If a station is saved under a different code, Greentree Desktop prompts the user to specify which station they are using when they access the Sales Entry form from their computer.
Station Description
Enter a more extended description to represent the station.
Default location
Select a default inventory location from one that is set up on the Location Maintenance form. If multiple locations are in use, this location may be a warehouse or parent location, that has multiple lower-level locations attached to it. You can only sell inventory items in the location selected here, or in any linked lower-level location, from the station.
Note: The station branch selected on the Station Location & Controls form must be the same branch that this location belongs to. If the location is changed to one that belongs to a different branch than the station branch, a warning message indicates that the station branch is changed to the location branch.
Default customer
Select a default customer from one that is set up on the AR Customer Maintenance form. The default value is the Sales Entry form when a transaction is entered at this station. This is commonly a Cash customer which is used generically for over the counter sales. You can change the customer when you enter a transaction.
Note: You don't need to select a default customer here. If left blank, you must select the customer when you enter a transaction.

If the Cash Management module is in use, you must select a bank account here. This is the account that are debited when a receipt transaction is processed at this station.
Location notes
This is a reference only field in which you can enter information about the station.
