Process Flow and Setup

Learn about the basic process flow of the manufacturing functions, and the order in which parameters should be set up.

Company Maintenance

Select the Manufacturing module in the Modules in Use tab on the Company Maintenance form.

User Preferences

Select the Manufacturing option in the Module access section on the Company access tab on the User Preferences form.

IN Transaction Types

Set up transaction types used to assign to manufacturing transactions.

Manufacturing Status Definitions

Set up a status definition to use as a Reason code when Greentree Desktop generates manufacturing adjustment transactions.

Manufacturing Module Control

Specify system-wide parameters and defaults to use with the manufacturing function.

Manufacturing Bill of Material Maintenance

Set up a bill of material for each manufactured item (set up on the Inventory Maintenance form). When a bill of material is defined for an inventory item, Greentree Desktop recognises it as a parent or manufactured item.

Manufacturing Work Centres

If required, set up work centres so that you can create a route plan for each bill of material.

Manufacturing Route Maintenance

If required, set up a route plan for each bill of material. You can break down the total lead time required to make one unit of the parent item, by work centre.
