Work Centre Maintenance
If the Job Cost module is in use, you can access this form by selecting System > Job Cost. Otherwise, you can access this form by selecting System > Manufacturing.
Work centres are assigned to bill of material routes so that you can assign manufacturing lead times at a work centre level.
Note: Work centres and lead times entered in route plans are for information purposes only. They do not interface with any of the manufacturing functions, and are not used in the calculation of costs relating to factory orders.
When you print a Bill of Materials Listing report and you define a route plan for a bill of material, details of the route plan print below the bill details. One line prints for each work centre in the route plan, displaying these details:
- Work centre code
- Work centre description
- Lead time
- Work centre line Is fixed indicator
When you print a Factory Order report, work centre notes print if the Print on factory order option is selected for the work centre and the order has a route plan that uses the work centre.
