Job Costing Microsoft Project Interface

The Job Costing module has three interface wizards to exchange information between Greentree Desktop and Microsoft Project:

• Employees - Adds Greentree Desktop JC employees to Microsoft Project as resources.
• Estimates - Receives Microsoft Project tasks into Greentree Desktop JC job estimates.
• Service Requests
  • Creates service requests from Microsoft Project tasks.
  • Creates Microsoft Project tasks from service requests.
  • Updates Microsoft Project tasks with the percentage complete from service requests.

    Note: This does not include calls.

Supported Versions

The current release of the interface was developed and tested on Microsoft Project versions 2003 and 2007. Microsoft Project Server is not supported.

MS Project Views

When this interface is installed, new Greentree Desktop options become available in the MS Project View > Table menu.

Updating your Microsoft Project plan

When the plan is accessed using any of the wizards, the last saved version opens. If the plan is already open, then the current plan is used.
