Dimension Group Maintenance

Use this form to define a dimension group, which is a collection of dimensions for a dimension type, that is assigned to items.

Assigning a pre-defined group removes the requirement to assign individual dimensions to multiple items if the items share common dimensions.

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Dimension type

If a default type is selected on the Inventory Module Control form, it defaults when the form opens, but you can override it.+

Dimension group

Enter or select a dimension group for the selected dimension type, up to 50 characters. To assign dimensions to a group, enter them into the table.

Active

New groups are available to assign to an item using the Assign Item Dimensions form.

Default

You can only select one group as the default group. If you select this option, the group defaults to the Assign Item Dimensions form when dimensions are being assigned to items for the first time.
