Stocktake Processes

Prepare Stocktake

When you prepare a stocktake that includes dimension controlled items using the stocktake selection criteria, the snapshot incorporates inventory balances at a dimensional level.

Stocktake Count Entry

For dimension controlled items, you must enter counts by dimension. The dimension displays on the count entry form. The dimension count is always an integer — for example, a piece count. Where dimension conversion factors are in use, Greentree Desktop calculates how this converts into the item's stocking unit of measure for updating inventory balances when counts are finalised.

If an item is both dimension and lot controlled, you must enter counts at a dimension or lot level. Both the lot and the dimension count in the lot displays on the count entry form. You can enter counts for dimension-controlled items on the Multiple Entry form.
