Trial Balance Report
Use this report to print a list of general ledger account balances for a specified period end date.
Header Details
- Report process date and time
- Page number
- Period end date specified in the parameters
- The currency option
Line Details
These details display for each general ledger account, using the parameters selected and the period end date specified:
- Account number
- Account description
- MTD debit value
- MTD credit value
- YTD debit value
- YTD credit value
If you output this report based on Tree, the report groups and sub-totals by tree branch. If you selected None in the Tree field, then accounts are not grouped or sub-totalled. In either case, a grand ledger total displays for all accounts.
Parameters
You can set these parameters for the report:
Company
The default value is the company you are logged into, but you can change it to view the report for a different company.
View Mode
This is applicable if you are using Advanced Security and enables you to restrict the output based on team security.
Sequence
You can select the account sequence on which to base the output. These are defined on the Sequences tab of the Module Control form.
Tree
You can filter the output of this report by tree. If you select a tree, you can specify which branches to include. If you do not want to filter the output by tree, select the option None in the Tree field.
Account Order
You can select to output order to be based on general ledger account number or account description.
Exclude Zero Balance
Select this option to exclude accounts with a balance of zero from the report.
Period End
Enter the last date in the period to include the report.
Print based on transaction analysis
This option is enabled if you are using the Transaction Analysis module. A Transaction analysis options button is enabled when you select the option, and you can select a tree and branch combinations to include in the report.
You can select one of the MDA combinations set up for general ledger analysis in the transaction analysis module. For each tree you can select one, all, or a combination of branches to output to the report.
