Multi Dimensional Setup
Use this form to specify the level at which transaction analysis balances are kept. Greentree Desktop maintains balances at the levels defined on this form.
Options Reference
Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.
Analysis zone
Select the zone for which balances are to be created: GL Line or IN Line.
Effective date
Set the date from which balances should be created. The default value is the current date for a new setup.
Calendar
The default value is the calendar of the selected zone.
The transaction trees that have been assigned to the selected zone type display in the columns as headings — for example, Motor Vehicles and Sales Staff are trees that have been assigned to the inventory masterfile.
Select the trees to create combinations for.
Click Create combinations to create all valid combinations using these trees. Greentree Desktop gives each combination a generic name, but you can change this to be something more meaningful to the combination.
If you do not need one or more of the automatically-generated combinations, you can delete the line by pressing Shift-F2.
You must save combinations before Greentree Desktop can build the data.
When you recall saved combinations, you can select the option to Build Unbuilt Data. You only need to run this once for each set of combinations. You only need to rebuild data if you subsequently add to or alter an existing combination set.
Note: You can schedule builds or rebuilds of data using the Task Scheduler.
