Salesperson Maintenance
Use this form to set up codes representing salespeople in your organisation. These are subsequently assigned to customers so that a salesperson defaults to the header of invoice or credit note detail as required.
Using codes enables you to analyse your sales by salesperson. The reports that you can print using the salesperson as a filter include:
Options Reference
Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.
Code
Enter a unique code (up to six alphanumeric characters) to represent the salesperson.
Inactive
Select this option to make the salesperson unavailable to assign to transactions when entering data.
Note: You can't make a salesperson to inactive if they are set as a customer's default salesperson.
Salesperson
Enter an extended description (up to 30 characters) to represent the salesperson. This does not have to be unique.
Mailmerge name
This field is enabled if the Customer Relationship Management module is in use.
You can enter a name for the salesperson to use in correspondence generated using the mail merge feature.
Mailmerge title
This field is enabled if the Customer Relationship Management module is in use.
You can enter a title for the salesperson to use in correspondence generated using the mail merge feature.
Sales Team /Sales Manager
Assign a sales team and manager. This is only relevant if the CRM and Human Resource modules are in use.
Address details
Enter address details for the salesperson.
Allowed Web Access
This section is available and applicable if WebView is in use. Select the option to indicate the salesperson can access the WebView module.
If this option is not selected, no Web Access fields are visible.
Web Access
User name
This is the salesperson's WebView login name.
Password
This is the salesperson's WebView login password.
Menu
Select the menu the salesperson will see when they log into WebView. If this is left blank, the user sees the Default Menu assigned on the WebView Module Control form.
Allow Export to Excel
This setting determines whether the salesperson can export WebView results to Excel.
Yes
The user can export WebView results to Excel if the settings on the Page Maintenance form enable this.
No
The user are not allowed to export WebView results to Excel unless the settings on the Page Maintenance form enable this.
Never
The user will never be allowed to export WebView results to Excel, even if the settings on the Page Maintenance form enable this.
Allowed to change password?
Select this if the salesperson can change their WebView password while logged into WebView.
Uses WebView Designer
Select this option to indicate the salesperson can access web pages designed using WebView.
Uses Financial Reporting
Select this option to indicate the salesperson can view reports using the web.
Published Reports
Display latest Published Report only?
Select this option if the salesperson is only allowed to see the latest published report.
Allow Published Report expiry change?
Select this option if the salesperson can change the expiry date when creating published reports.
Live Report Prompt
Select this option if the salesperson is to see the prompt that a published report exists when they are running a live report.
Units
Select the default unit to use when this salesperson saves a published report.
Value
This is the number of the above unit to keep a published report for when the salesperson saves one.
