Withholding Tax Tab

This tab contains tax information. It only displays when you select the Use withholding tax option as a supplier default.

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Tax reference/IRD Number

This is the supplier's tax reference number. It's taken from the Defaults tab and is read-only.

Tax rate

Enter the percentage of withholding tax to be deducted from payments made to this supplier.

Business activity

Enter a description of the supplier's business activity as it relates to withholding tax, up to 20 alphanumeric characters.

Name for tax/IRD return

Enter the company name to use for this supplier when you make a return to the tax department.

Exemption number

Enter the tax exemption certificate number if this supplier is exempt from having withholding tax deducted, up to 16 alphanumeric characters.

Exemption start date

Enter the date on which the supplier's withholding tax exemption certificate starts.

Exemption end date

Enter the date on which the supplier's tax exemption certificate expires.

IRD start date

Enter the start date set by the Inland Revenue Department.

IRD end date

Enter the end date set by the Inland Revenue Department.

Name

Enter the name of the company providing public liability insurance for this supplier, up to 20 alphanumeric characters.

Policy number

Enter the policy number of the supplier's public liability insurance, up to 12 alphanumeric characters.

Expiry date

Enter the date on which the supplier's public liability insurance policy expires.

Number

If this supplier is a subcontractor, enter their subcontractor licence number.

Subcontractor expiry date

If this supplier is a subcontractor, enter the date on which their subcontractor license expires.

Subcontractor build date

If this supplier is a subcontractor, enter the date on which their subcontractor indemnity expires.

Name

Enter the name of the company that provides workers compensation or sickness/accident insurance for this supplier, up to 20 alphanumeric characters.

Policy number

Enter the number of the supplier's workers compensation or sickness/accident insurance policy.

Expiry date

Enter the date on which the supplier's workers compensation or sickness or accident insurance expires.
