Security Group Maintenance


Security groups (also known as web groups) are used for setting up the options, display preferences, and security preferences for each web user. There must be at least one web group defined as the default group before any access is available to Webstore. If you are allowing anonymous users to use Webstore, they will be assigned to the default group.

The most simple Webstore setup involves one web group, or two if anonymous access is defined. Having many web groups is useful if there are many different levels of web user, for example, managers, employees and partner companies.
