JADE Query

JADE query is a database update and enquiry tool that allows:

• The user to extract information from the database for enquiry
• The user to change an attribute on an object
• The user to change a reference on an object
• The user to change the object ID (OID) of a reference
• The user to delete an object
• Single record editing or bulk editing

General Warning

You should use JADE Query with caution when in update mode because you can alter data so that errors are created which cannot be reversed or fixed. Take a system backup before you begin using JADE Query. Always check the results of your edit thoroughly before letting users continue with data entry.

Only authorised Greentree consultants should use this tool.

An alternative database update tool is the Greentree Inspection Tool. The Inspection Tool is easier to use when performing database updates, but less effective than JADE Query to run general queries for reporting.
