Location Logic
The hierarchy for determining which location to default to POS Sales Entry lines is:
- Use the item's primary location if it is specified in IN Inventory Item Maintenance, and it matches the location level defined for the station.
- Use the first location of the item that matches the location level defined for the station.
- Return the error: Location (station location) must be set for this inventory item.

The IN Control Validate Locations option is always assumed to be true when the Point of Sale module is in use. This enforces the requirement to specify locations for items in IN Inventory Item Maintenance. |
