Profit Centre Group Maintenance
Use profit centre groups to manage user security, as each user is assigned to a group to indicate their level of access in relation to transaction entry, enquiries and reports. You can restrict users to job transaction entry and review for only those profit centres they are responsible for. You can also assign a profit centre group to an employee, so that they are restricted to only enter timesheets for jobs belonging their profit centre group.
Click Add to set up a new profit centre group. A form displays prompting you to enter a group name, up to 30 characters long. The Available table displays all the profit centres that have been defined in UT Profit Centre Maintenance.
Click the < (moves selected) and << (moves all) arrows to move profit centres into the Selected table, to make them part of the group. Click the > and >> buttons to move them back if you do not want them in the group.
A new group will save as you create it, and you can select it to review or edit by clicking the Select group box. You can delete a group (with the exception of the All Profit Centres group) by selecting it and clicking the Delete button.

If the deleted group had been previously assigned to a user, the assignment is removed when the group is deleted. The All Profit Centres system group replaces it. |
