IN Transfers

When you perform a transfer, the quantity decreases at one or more bin locations within a stocking location (A), and the quantity increases at one or more bin locations within a stocking location (B).

InformationThe transfer out bins and transfer in bins are allocated using the system picking and receiving logic. The transaction also moves inventory from one stocking location to another.

If your bin management system is set up to support your warehouse processes, transaction entry does not change. The bin allocation logic is applied to the transaction line when you enter the transfer quantity.

Example

After you enter a transfer quantity, click the Bins out button to view or edit allocations. For example, Greentree might suggest that the line quantity of 1 is transferred from bin M01 within stocking location AK.001.

When a transfer transaction is recalled, click the Bins in button to view or edit allocations.

Click OK or Cancel to close the bin selection form and return to the transaction entry form.

Serial/Lot

If the item being transferred is serial/lot controlled, serial/lot data also displays in a column within the bin selection table.

Bin Transfer Reports

You can hotprint a WBM Transfer Out Report to output details of the bin locations allocated to the transfer out transactions.

Click the Printer icon on the toolbar of the transaction entry form and select either:

  • Print Bins by Batch - Print the report for all transactions within the current batch, or
  • Print Transaction Bins Only - Print the report only for the transaction you are on within the batch.

The report hotprints to the printer specified as the IN Transfer printer in UT User Preferences.
