Transaction Entry
If you are printing Receiving/Storage labels for an item and hotprinting is enabled, you can print receiving labels from these forms:
- IN Transaction Entry
- AP Invoice Entry
- PO Receipt Entry
- PO Shipment Entry
- FO Receipt Entry
You can print labels when:
- The on-hand quantity of the item will be increased by the transaction;
- The transaction quantity is being transferred from one stocking location to another.
The label options button displays on the forms when:
- Hotprinting is enabled for label printing in Inventory Module Control;
- Label printing (receiving/storage) is enabled for the transaction line (currently positioned to);
- The transaction line has an increasing effect on inventory.
Example
Click the Label options button to review default label options for the selected item. You can change the transaction line printing option before printing labels. If you change the default option here, it remains specific to the transaction line and does not become the new default option.
Information about the Print based on received quantity option
If you need to convert the transaction line unit of measure into the label base unit quantity, and the result is a decimal value, a warning message displays. Labels print using the truncated value quantity.
If lot numbers are printed on labels, a quantity break occurs for each unique item and lot number combination. For example, if there is a line quantity of 10, consisting of five for Lot A and five for Lot B, then five labels print with Lot A displayed as the lot number, and five labels print with Lot B displayed as the lot number.
