Module Control
You must select Use label printing option on the Labels tab in Inventory Module Control to enable label printing.
Options Reference
Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.
Print receiving/storage labels
Select this option to enable label printing when of receiving inventory hotprint from relevant form) and/or to enable labels to be printed for stocking.
Default batch form
Select the default form to use when printing labels in batches. The selected form defaults as the receiving or storage batch label form whenever labels are hotprinted for items from receiving forms. It is also the report used when the option to print receiving labels by batch is selected from the Reports/Inventory menu.
The Greentree IN Receiving Label Batch Report defaults in the first instance, but you can select a different report if one is customised for your business.
Default item form
Select the default form to use when printing labels by item. This is the report used when the option to print receiving labels by item is selected from the Reports > Inventory menu. The Greentree IN Receiving Label Item Report defaults in the first instance, but you can select a different report if one is customised for your business.
Default transaction line printing options
These options default for an item in IN Inventory Item Maintenance when label printing in enabled for the item. They also default during when the process is run where labels are auto-printed from receiving forms, but you can change it before printing the labels.
Print 1 label per line (default)
Select this option to print a single label (for an item) regardless of the received quantity.
Print based on receiving quantity
Select this option to print a number of labels using the receipted quantity of the item. When you select this option, a second field appears next to the option, allowing you to indicate the number of labels you want to print per unit. If you enter 1 (this is the default), this means one label prints for each unit quantity received.
For example, if 10 units are received for an item, 10 labels print for that item. If the labels per unit is set to 3, then 30 labels would print using the same example.
Enable hotprint
Select this option to enable the hotprinting of receiving labels from relevant forms.
Print barcode
This field is enabled if barcodes are being maintained for inventory items. Select the option if you want to print the item barcode on labels.
Print serial/lot number
This field is enabled if serial/lot tracking is in use and the option to Print based on receiving quantity is selected.
Select this option to print serial/lot numbers on labels.
Print retail pricing labels
Select this option to print inventory labels for retail pricing purposes
Default form (mandatory)
Select the default form to use when printing pricing labels (always by item). The selected form defaults when the option to print retail price labels is selected from the Reports > Inventory menu. The IN Retail Label Item report defaults in the first instance, but you can select if one is customised for your business.
Print options
These options default for an item in IN Inventory Item Maintenance when label printing in enabled for the item:
- Price only - Select this option if you only want to print the item selling price on the label (based on the price book selected when labels are printed).
- Barcode only - Select this option if you only want to print the barcode on the label (based on the UOM selected when labels are printed).
- Barcode and price - Select this option to print both the selling price and the barcode on the label.
