Timecard Rule Maintenance

Use this form to define timecard rules to apply in order of they are entered, from top to bottom. The rule(s) you create can be:

  • Named as required, and
  • Are applicable for the pay week (regardless of pay frequency)

Select the Trans Type for the hours to be applied to on a daily basis, defining the ordinary hours then the overtime break points. For example, Monday to Friday eight hours paid at ordinary, next two hours at time and a half and the balance being double time. Saturday and public holidays get paid at two hours time and a half and the balance being double time.

Transaction type masks can be used to split hours across multiple transaction types. Masks are defined by putting a transaction type prefix in with an asterisk. If you have three transaction types with codes of 220, 22001, and 22002, you can split time across these by creating the mask 220*.

On the timecard entry, if no mask is set, the transaction type will be picked up as 220. If a mask of 01 is set, then the 22001 transaction type will be picked. If 02 is set in the mask, then the transaction type 22002 is used.
