Use this tab to assign and display supplier tree and user-defined field information for suppliers.

If a supplier tree is defined as Mandatory, then you can't save a new supplier masterfile unless you have allocated the supplier to a branch in that tree.

You cannot remove a supplier from a tree using this form. You must use the Supplier Tree Maintenance form.

Supplier trees

To assign a supplier to a tree branch, double click the tree to display the tree branches and then select or change the tree branch for the supplier.

You can also assign a supplier to a tree branch using Supplier Tree Maintenance. The pre-assigned branch value for the selected supplier displays here.

Supplier fields

Custom fields are set up using User Field Maintenance, and defaults to this table, enabling the assignment of a value. You don't need to assign values to user fields.

If the supplier is linked to a CRM Organisation, Greentree will synchronise UDF fields. This applies the first time a supplier is linked to a organisation, and whenever UDF values are updated subsequent to that. This logic applies:

Organisation OA and Supplier SA:

• For a boolean UDF, OA updates SA;
• For a non-boolean UDF, if OA has a value, then OA updates SA;
• For non-boolean UDF, if OA has a null value, then SA updates OA.
