Service Request Smart Button


Clear

Clears the Service Request form ready for a new record to be recalled.

Save

Available in maintenance view.

On selecting, the active record is saved. The form remains populated.

For lines on the Inventory tab:

  • where Issue is selected, these are processed in sequence creating an IN Transaction per transaction type.
  • if IN Module Control / Serial/Lot Details / Use serial/lot tracking / Use serial/lot suspense account is selected, any line that requires a serial/lot number is placed into serial/lot suspense.
  • if there is any other reason the line can not be issued, a message is displayed advising why. On selecting OK, the form is refreshed to view/change any lines that did not issue.

Possible reasons an Inventory line will not issue:

  • the service request is not assigned to a job and the lineTransaction type is of Type = JC
  • the line requires a serial/lot number and IN Module Control / Serial/Lot Details / Use serial/lot tracking / Use serial/lot suspense account is deselected
  • the Quantity required at the location is greater than the Quantity available
  • the Item is a kitset parent that does not hold inventory and no components are selected
  • the Item is inactive
  • the Location is non-stocking
  • the Location is inactive
  • no tax code can be found for the item
  • the Work Centre phase on the job's work centre plan is completed.

Select for other actions.

Save & Add New

On selecting, the active record is saved. The form is cleared ready for a new record to be added.

For lines on the Inventory tab:

  • where Issue is selected, these are processed in sequence creating an IN Transaction per transaction type.
  • if the service request is not assigned to a job and any line has a Transaction type where Type = JC, a job required message is displayed.
  • if IN Module Control / Serial/Lot Details / Use serial/lot tracking / Use serial/lot suspense account is selected, any line that requires a serial/lot number is placed into serial/lot suspense.
  • if there is any other reason the line can not be issued, a message is displayed advising why. On selecting OK, the form is refreshed to view/change any lines that did not issue.

Where Auto create Job from Service Request is selected in CRM > System > Module Control / Service, on selecting Save or Save & Add New a Job is automatically created for the service request.

Delete

On selecting, a message is displayed "Are you sure you want to delete this service request?".

Selecting Yes deletes the active record. The form is cleared ready for a new record to be created.
