The following section explains how to mass-transfer items reserved for the project to free stock.
Mass-Transfer[2]insert2025/02/0521:44:21-05:00ing Project Inventory
When a project is finished, some project inventory may still be left unused in the project-specific cost layer. To quickly transfer all the leftover material back to the[3] the2025/02/0521:44:32-05:00 free stock, [4]insert2025/02/0521:45:05-05:00while viewing the project onyou click <uicontrol>Transfer Inventory to Free Stock</uicontrol> in the More menu of[5]you click <uicontrol>Transfer Inventory to Free S.. 2025/02/0521:45:03-05:00 the Projects (PM301000) form[6]insert2025/02/0521:45:16-05:00, you click Transfer Inventory to Free Stock on the More menu. The system opens the Transfer Project Inventory to Free Stock (PM508000) mass-processing form. On this form, you selects[7]s2025/02/0521:45:35-05:00 the unlabeled check boxes in the lines with the project-related stock items that you need to move from the project cost layer.
To run processing for only selected items, you [8]insert2025/02/0521:45:58-05:00select the unlabeled check boxes for the items and then click Process on the form toolbar. You can [9]insert2025/02/0521:46:16-05:00instead click Process All to transfer all the items listed in the table from project stock to free stock. The system creates and releases inventory transfer transactions on the Transfers (IN304000) form that will move the stock from the project cost layer to the normal cost layer of the same warehouse and warehouse location.
