Custom Files (Modern UI)

On this page, you manage the custom files related to the Modern UI of any number of forms in the customization project. A custom file contains code for the customization of the Modern UI of a form.

Tip: You open the Modern UI Files page by clicking Modern UI Files in the navigation pane of the Customization Project Editor.

Table 1. Add Files Dialog BoxThis dialog box opens when you click Add New Record on the page toolbar. The dialog box contains a table that lists the files that you can add to the customization project.

Element	Description
The table in this dialog box contains the following columns.
[1]janice.paganiniFor future reference, when we are able to do so, we should request name changes to Included, whether the column name is hidden (and shown only in the Column Configuration dialog box) or shown on the screen. The problem is that it becomes hard to write around--lots of "select the Selected check box" and "if the Selected check box is selected" awkwardness. Thus, we use "Included" and describe it as being included in the processing, the group of ___s added to the __, or something like this.2025/03/0309:51:16-05:00Selected	A check box that indicates (if selected) that this file will be added to the customization project.
Path	The path to the file.
Modified	The date when the file was modified.
Size	The size of the file.
This dialog box has the following buttons.
Save	Adds the selected files to the table on the page and closes the dialog box.
Cancel	Closes the dialog box without adding any files to the page.

Table 2. Edit File Dialog BoxThis dialog box opens when you click the name of a file in the table on the page. The dialog box contains the following elements. In the dialog box, you can view and edit the file.
The dialog box contains the following elements.
Element	Description
Work Area	The area where you view and edit the file.
This dialog box has the following buttons.
Save	Saves the changes you have made to the file and closes the dialog box.
Cancel	Closes the dialog box without saving any changes.

Table

This table contains the list of custom Modern UI files and the basic settings of each of them. The columns of the table are described below.


Element	Description
Object Name	The name of the custom file in the customization project.
Screen ID	The ID of the form the custom file belongs to.
Description	The description of the custom file.
Last Modified By	The name of the user who last modified the file in the customization project.
Last Modified On	The date when the file was last modified in the customization project.
