Field Services Guide

This guide describes the service management, equipment management, and route management capabilities of MYOB Advanced.

By using the service management functionality, you can manage service-related activities, such as entering service orders of various types, creating the appointments of service orders, tracking work on appointments and service orders, and generating invoices for customers.

You can use the equipment management functionality for managing the equipment of your organization and your customers. In MYOB Advanced, you can process customers’ contracts on recurring service delivery—that is, enter service contract information, create schedules for the service delivery, and generate service orders for the contracts.

In MYOB Advanced, you can also manage the routes executed by drivers for your company. You can manage drivers and vehicles and assign them to routes according to the required skills of the route. For a route, you can also reorganize the scheduled appointments by adding, deleting, or moving them, as well as changing their order. A generated route will give you useful statistics, such as driving time and distance, that will help you make better decisions to optimize your business management.
