Table 3. Maximum Insurable Wages Dialog BoxThis dialog box displays a list of maximum wages to which the workers' compensation rate is applicable for a particular combination of deduction and benefit code and state. Multiple rows may be created for one combination of code and state, but each row must have a different effective date. You can add or remove rows or edit the information in the table; the changes will be synchronized with the data displayed on the WCC Code tab of the Deduction and Benefit Codes (PR101060) form.
Column Description
Deduction and Benefit Code The deduction and benefit code that has a limit on insurable wages specified.
State The state to which the limit on insurable wages is applicable.
Wage Limit The maximum wage to which the workers' compensation rate is applicable. For the combination of deduction and benefit code and state, the system stops calculating the benefit if this limit is reached.
Effective Date The effective date starting from which the system starts tracking if the year-to-date amount of the applicable wage accumulated for the combination of the deduction and benefit code and state has reached the specified limit on insurable wage. The applicable wage is accumulated for one year starting from the effective date, and then the accumulation is reset and starts anew. When a paycheck is calculated, the effective date is compared to the transaction date in the paycheck.
