You can only select Quotes as an entry type if the User Preferences option Quotation Entry is selected. Entering a quote type transaction enables you to determine the total price for an intended purchase, so the customer can be advised in advance of making any commitment.
Prices and discounts on quote transaction lines are determined using the customer, item, location, and quantity combinations.
You can copy a quote to a different quote, or copy or convert it into a sale by clicking the Options button while the Quotes Entry type is selected.
