Creating a Job from a Template
To select a template when creating a new job on the JC Job Maintenance
form, either:
- Press F5 while on a empty form, or
- Click the
icon on the toolbar.
The New Job Creation form displays.
Options Reference
Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options
and fields are highlighted in red.
Job Level
Select:
- Header (default) if the
job you are creating is a main (parent or project) job. When you select
this option, you can only select a template to create
the job it is not applicable to select a parent in this situation.
- Sub Job if the job you
are creating is a sub-job, which indicates it has a parent or project
for it. You can create this job using either a Template
or a Parent Job.
Load From
This option is enabled if you are creating a Sub
Job. Select whether to create the job using the parent job or on
a template.
If you select:
- Parent Job, you can select
a parent job code, and the new job inherits the parent's job attributes.
If the Job Cost Module Control option At
Job Template Level is selected, you must enter a New
Job code before the Create
Job button is enabled. Otherwise, Greentree Desktop
determines the code using the range defined on the Job Cost Module
Control form.
- Template, you can select
a template to create the job using the template's defaults. Click
Create Job to create the new
job.
