Style Maintenance

Use this form to format the text and numbers in your reports.

You can specify different formatting for when reports are viewed in Greentree Desktop and on the web, or when they are exported to Excel.

When exporting to Excel you can also specify styles for the page header, column headings and footer.

Existing styles can be copied to create a one then edited.

Each row in your report has a style assigned.

You must create styles for all formatting combinations you require. For example, if a heading is bold and underlined but a sub-heading is only bold, these must be set up as two separate formats.

Note: The user must have been defined as a Library User to view this menu.

Start Tag

Enter an HTML tag to indicate the style that are applied to the row when it displays using WebView. You can have multiple tags for any row. Each tag should be typed between < > signs, and you do not need spaces between tags.

End Tag

Enter an HTML tag to indicate the Start style is no longer applicable when the end of the row is reached. These tags are processed at the end of each row. To remove formats, type the tag with a forward slash (/) in front of it.

Note: Remove formats at the end of each line, otherwise you can end up with a mixture of styles on subsequent rows. For example, if you have a start tag on one row and don't remove it, then this row prints in bold, even though you perhaps only wanted that row to print in italics.

For numeric value lines, these formatting options are available:

Currency Sign

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Allow Drill Down

Select this option to drill down to general ledger accounts (and related transactions) that make up a value on financial reports.

Note: You can set up two styles that are the same, except one allows drill down and one does not.

For example, users can drill down on expense values, but they can't drill down to see the details of the wages and salaries expense. They can only see the total value.

Suppress Narration

Select this option to prevent the user from seeing narrations when they drill down to transaction detail.

Exclude accounts with no transactions

Select this option to not display accounts that don't have any transactions.
