Balances Tab

This tab displays actual and budgeted general ledger account balances for calendar years.

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Qty/Amount

If the account is a quantity account, you can use these options to view the quantity balances of the account, or the values.

Actual/Budget

Use these options to display either actual prior year balances, or reporting budget balances (based on a specified budget number). To display budget amounts, you must select a budget number.

Calendar Year

Select the year for which to see actual or budget balances.

Enquiry By

Amounts display in ledger or account currency.

Actuals are converted when they are entered.
Budgets are converted using the Budget Reporting Currency Rate for the period. If a Budget Reporting Currency Rate does not exist for that period, the last rate entered for a prior period in that year is used. An error displays if there are no rates entered for that year.

Note: You can drill down on values in the table by double clicking to display the Transactions tab, which contains the detail of the selected value.
