Custom Tab

Use this tab to assign information about trees and user-defined fields to organisations.

Note: If an organisation tree is mandatory, you can't save a new organisation unless you have allocated the organisation to a branch in that tree.

You can remove an organisation from a tree using the Organisation Tree Maintenance form.

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Trees

A tree is a hierarchy of classifications that represents meaningful groups of items that your company deals with. Trees are available throughout the CRM module. You can allocate an item to a specific branch in a tree.

This field lists all the trees available for the item and the allocated branch. Drill down on the Value field to view the tree structure and select a tree branch.

To change a tree branch, drill down and select a branch.

UDF (user-defined) Fields

Use custom fields to define the fields you require for a specific CRM item. Defined custom fields appear in this field. You can enter and edit the values of custom fields.

If the organisation is a customer or supplier, Greentree Desktop synchronises user-defined fields. This applies the first time an organisation is linked to a customer or supplier, and whenever UDF values are updated subsequent to that. This logic applies:
