Use the Data Import Manager to schedule regular imports of external data into Greentree Desktop using text files — for example, comma-delimited (.csv) files.
The Data Import Manager consists of these forms:
Interface Maintenance
The Interface Maintenance form lists all the import interface types. You can load or unload the interface definitions per interface type. You can also edit an interface to ensure that the import fields are available for import and to specify tailor-made import options per interface.
Interface Schedule
Use this form to schedule an import Interface for execution. You have a number of processing options, and you can run the import immediately.
View Interface Logs
Use this form to search the auto captured system logs of the imports that have been performed and retrieve an import log. You can drill down to the interface log detail.
Interface Log Maintenance
This form contains a list of system logs from which you can select an import log. Details about the import display — for example, errors, warnings, and the objects updated.
Interface Log Enquiry
This form gives opens system import logs in read-mode only.
Data Export
Use this form to schedule an export for processing or to process an export immediately.
COM Interface
The COM interface indicates which fields to export.
