Use this form to create a hierarchy of work centres and allocate jobs to the various levels. eTimesheets use the Work Breakdown Structure to list only the available work centers for the selected job. You can also indicate if posting is allowed or disallowed for the work centre.
You can use the buttons on this form to define the Work Breakdown Structure and allocate the jobs at the various levels:
Click the Add button to create the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements that define the cost centre hierarchy. One WBS element is created each time you click the Add button. You must click the WBS element underneath which to add a WBS element. The highest level is <root>. Then click the Add button and enter these per WBS element:

Note: eTimesheets only list the work centres for which Post at this level is selected.
Select the work centre to edit, then click the Change button. You can change:
Click the Delete button to remove a work centre from the Work Breakdown Structure.
Select the job to allocate to the selected Work Breakdown Structure element. You can select the Job by clicking the Job Code or Name search fields. The selected job displays in the Code and Name fields. Allocate the job to the work centre by clicking the Allocate button.
Note: You can only link a job to one Work Breakdown Structure. If you attempt to link a job to another Work Breakdown Structure, an error message displays.
Click this button to remove jobs from the selected Work Breakdown Structure element. Select the Job to unallocate, then click the Remove button.
Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.
Code
Enter a Code for the Work Breakdown Structure to create.
Name
Enter a Name for the Work Breakdown Structure to create.
Work Breakdown Structure Elements
The Work Breakdown Structure Elements field lists the WBS hierarchy of WBS elements. Each WBS element consists of a work centre and for each WBS element you have a one or more allocated Jobs, which display in the Allocated Jobs field.

Allocated Jobs
The Allocated Jobs field lists all the jobs that can be used by the selected Work Breakdown Structure element. The link between the work centre and the job is used in eTimesheets to determine the list of available work centres for the selected job.

Job Code
Select the job to allocate to the selected WBS element using the search field. Allocate the selected job to the WBS element by clicking the Allocate button.
Job Name
Select the job to allocate to the selected WBS element using the search field. Allocate the selected job to the WBS element by clicking the Allocate button.
The WBS Element form displays if you click the Add or Change buttons:
Code
Enter a code for the Work Breakdown Structure element. The code displays on the Work Breakdown Structure Maintenance form in the WBS hierarchy.
Note: Use this option to automatically generate the work centre code is selected in eTimesheets Module Control. Greentree Desktop uses the code to build the work centre code.
Alpha
Enter an abbreviated identifier for the WBS element. You can change this field.
Name
Enter a name for the WBS element. The code displays on the Work Breakdown Structure Maintenance form in the WBS hierarchy. You can change this field.
JC Work Centre
Select the work centre for the WBS element. You can automatically generate the work centre code. This option is set on the eTimesheets Module Control form. The automatically-generated code consists of:
WBS Element Code
The automatically-generated JC work centre code displays when the WBS element is saved and re-opened by clicking the Change button on the WBS form.
Note: Work Centre is limited to a length of six characters.
Post at this Level
Select this option if timesheets can be posted with the work centre. If you select this option, the work centre is available through eTimesheets. If not selected, the work centre is not included in the list of work centres in eTimesheets.
