The segment definitions determine which segment is the natural account. When you first access this form, you must set up the GL Validation Segment Definition.
Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.
Segment Definition
This option maps to the segments established in your general ledger structure. You must specify the segment that represents the natural account. This is used when generating the General Ledger chart.
You can also specify which segment represents the branch. If you select this option, the Generate Chart function also creates branch segments and the branch codes. All the segments for the account number created with the branch are wildcarded, except the branch segment.
You can enter or select the Quad GL Mask and Quad Default segments.
