Validation Matrix

The validation matrix defines the chart of accounts for your business. Use it to create and maintain a consistent chart. You can apply inclusions and exclusions to each matrix created and you can flag each matrix for use in the generation process.

The tabs that appear on this form are determined by the general ledger structure. The account information listed on each tabs is created on the Define Segments form.

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Generate Chart - All Check Box

Select this option to apply the generate process to all companies, divisions, branches, or cost centres. When selected, all items are selected. If deselected, you can choose which item to include in the process.

Generate Chart - Grid

The generate grid can have a number of options, depending on the complexity of your chart. The generated chart has a tab representing each of the segments in the Greentree Desktop general ledger structure.

Select all items on each form, or you can choose individual items that apply to the selected matrix. All tabs, except the Company tab, display company overrides established in the segment definition.
