If you close the error message and continue to enter details and try to save, a second error message displays. Greentree Desktop doesn't save the transaction to the database. You must cancel the operation or contact an administration to update your add privileges.

You must cancel the operation to be clear of the message, or contact an administrator to update your change privileges.

If you have:
You can only enter, change, or delete general ledger line items for accounts that you have post privileges to. The general ledger account search fields only contain those accounts. If you enter an account number that you do not have access to, Greentree Desktop treats it as non-existent.
If you recall a transaction that includes a general ledger line item to an account that you do not have post privileges to, the transactions is loaded in read only mode.
Although you can view all the line items, you can't drill down into an account unless you have read privileges to that account. If you try to drill down into an account to which you do not have read privileges a privilege error displays.
