Query to Report Limitations

The query engines of Explorer and the Report Designer have these limitations:

Trees and Plugins

The Report Writer query engine does not support Explorer queries that include conditional selections based on trees and/or plug-in attributes. You can't export them to Report Writer using the wizard.

Text String Conditions

The Explorer query engine can apply these conditions to a text string (alphanumeric) property:

• Contains (exact)
• Doesn't contain
• Starts with
• Starts with (exact)

The Report Designer does not support any of these conditions. You cannot add Explorer query containing any one of them to the Designer using the wizard. An error message displays when you try to open the Report Designer wizard is any one of these conditions exist.
