To enable the external open feature, select the option to Allow VBA integration in Greentree Desktop System Preferences.
Once this is enabled, you can find the VBA User Settings item in the File menu. Use the VBA User Settings menu item to open the VBA user integration settings form.
Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.
Allow VBA integration for this user
Select this option to enable VBA integration for the current user.
Close form on return to VBA Application
Select this option to close the form when returning to the VBA application from which it was opened.
Capture mode
Select this option to enable the capture of forms for integration.
Note: This must be turned off once you've captured the forms.
Password
Enter the user password.
Output.bas file
Enter (or browse to) the location to save integration selections.
Application
Choose the application to switch to and from with Greentree. If this is chosen incorrectly then the VBA application can switch to Greentree, but Greentree Desktop will not switch back to the same VBA application.
If the selected application is PowerPoint, you must select the correct version, and if the integration is to occur from within a slide show, you must select the PowerPoint Slideshow option. The Application icon and name is in read-only format when the application is selected.
Output VBA module
This button is enabled after the user has captured the forms. Click the button to write the .bas file to the chosen location. A message displays when the file is successfully created.
