The sale_email.ect Template

This template contains no navigation links. When the sale_email.ect template is defined in email setting sections of forms (such as on the Security tab or the Options tab and Anonymous Orders tab of the Webstore module), the absolute URL must be changed in the sale_email.ect template.

All image links should be absolute — for example, https://www.yoursite.co.nz/images/logo.gif — as opposed to the relative links in sale.ect (for example: images/logo.gif). To make the changes needed to have your images display in a customer's email (while online), search for localhost and replace that with the web address of your companies website. Make sure that all images are pointing to an image on the company's web server.

By default, all images have been commented out in the stylesheet for the sale_email.ect template file so the recipient of the email will see the same formatting of their email whether or not they're online when they read the email.

The stylesheet for sale_email.ect is embedded in the template file, but the style information also exists in the files webstore.css, and sale.css. Search for the text email in this template to see the changes made to make this template work as an email.
