Auto Generate Batches Tab

Use this tab to define number ranges for system-generated batches within branches. Greentree Desktop generates transaction batch numbers when the Module Control option Use batches is not selected. If no branch specific range is defined, Greentree Desktop uses a range from 1 to 999999.

Automatically generate batch numbers

Select this option to generate batch numbers based on the ranges specified in the table.

Validate entered values

Click this option to select the Validate checkbox for all lines in the table.

Recipient

This field is enabled if the eXchange module is in use.

Use this field to set up auto-numbering parameters per recipient and branch combination.

Branch

Select the branch you are defining the number range for. Leave this field empty if the range applies to all branches.

System

You can only define one row as a blank branch. This is the range that generates batch numbers when Greentree Desktop cannot establish an alternative range.

Length

This field displays the maximum length for the automatically-generated number.

This field is read only.

Enable

This option is enabled if Point of Sale and eXchange are in use.

Select this option if the recipient and branch combination is used to generate batch numbers.

From/To

Enter the from/to batch number range, up to 11 digits long.

Next

The default value is the next batch number using the range and the previous batch number assigned. It is read-only when Greentree Desktop generates batch numbers.

Validate

This option is enabled if Point of Sale and eXchange are in use.

Select this option to validate a batch number for the recipient and branch combination when the Enable option is also selected.
