Close Batches
If you are using batches, use this form to close a range of batches to prevent users from editing transactions within those batches. For example, you can close a range of AR invoice batches because outstanding balances have been printed on customer statements. In this situation, you do not want users to edit those invoice transactions.
You can apply these selection criteria before displaying batch detail in the table:
- Status - Select whether to include open batches, closed batches, or all batches in your query.
- Tran type - Select the transaction type of the batches to view.
- Branch - Select the branch that the batches belong to.
- User - Select the user who entered the batches to view.
- Start & End dates - Enter a date range for the batches to view.
- Start & End batch - Enter a batch number range for the batches to view.
Click the Apply button to display batch details in the table.
To close the batch, select the checkbox in the Is Closed column. If the batch has previously been closed, this checkbox is selected. To open a batch, deselect the checkbox.
Once a batch is closed, this message displays if it is selected in the Batch Header form: Batch is read-only. You cannot edit it.
To save the changes, press F2 or click the Save icon.
