Serial/Lot Tracking

If the Inventory Serial/Lot Tracking sub-module is in use, enter serial/lot details against sales order or packing slips lines (for serial/lot controlled items) before invoicing.

If you select SO Module Control option Serial/lot numbers required at SO Entry, which determines whether or not you must enter serial/lot details when entering the sales order, you can't save a sales order line unless serial/lot details have been entered. If the option is not selected, you can enter serial/lot details before invoicing using the Sales Order Entry or Packing Slip Maintenance forms.

You can't generate an invoice for a sales order line if serial/lot details have not been assigned for serial/lot controlled items.
