Purge Transactions
This form is enabled if the option to Allow to purge POS transactions is selected on the Point of Sale Module Control form. Use this form to delete transactions in the Point of Sale module.
Note: You cannot delete transaction integrations between the Point of Sale and Accounts Receivable and Inventory modules using this form. Customer and item balances are not affected by this process. The purge only reduces the amount of data that Greentree Desktop stores for point of sale transactions.
Options Reference
Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.
Date from/to
Enter the date range for the purge.
Options
Select the transaction types to purge. You can only select Receipts if Sales is also selected.
Click OK to run the process and activate the purge. Click Cancel to close the form without running the process.
Once the process has completed, you can't recall purged transactions using the Sales Entry form. Purged transactions is absent from Point of Sale reports.
Even though transactions have been purged using this process, you can still view the transactions using the Inventory and Accounts Receivable modules. The transactions still output to reports run from those modules.
