Mobile Profiles

Mobile profiles filter the data that is available to a mobile device. You can also use profiles to limit users to only see what they need to see to perform their own tasks. You can set up as many profiles within a company as you require.

Profiles can be assigned to multiple users if applicable, which avoids having to create separate profiles for each user.

Select Mobile Profiles in the Mobile Setup Wizard. Or, access this form under the System > Mobility menu.

Data is filtered based on Greentree Desktop masterfiles, such as inventory items, customers, and the like. Each masterfile will relate to specific mobile applications - for example. Customers relates to all customer or sales functions, inventory items to warehousing functions, and the like.

Options available for filtering data include:

  • Include none - If you select this option, for the profile, no masterfile objects download to the device.
  • Include all - If you select this option, for the profile, all masterfile objects download to the device.
  • Base on condition - If you select this option, use the Set button to access Explorer, where you can select the data to include in the download set for the selected masterfile.
  • Mobile user assignment - This section of the form displays a list of users to whom the selected profile is assigned. Profiles are assigned to users on the User Preferences form.

Profile requirements for each applet must Include all or be Based on a condition for these masterfiles.
