Bulk Replace BOMs

Use this form to bulk replace an existing component item in a bill of material with a new component item. The new component item must exist as an inventory item.

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Code

Select the component item to replace in all bills of material. You can replace it with one or more new items.

New Item Code

Select the item that replaces the old component in all bills of material. You can select more than one item to replace the old item. You can also enter a ratio to indicate whether it is a one-to-one replacement or a one-to-many replacement.

To run the process, click the Save icon. When the process is complete, a summary of results displays. Click Output to save the results to a file, or click OK to close the form without saving the results.

Note: Select the Replace bill of materials option on the Supercession Processing form when an old item is being superceded with a new item. If you select this option, the process to bulk replace bill of materials runs when the supercession is processed.
