WBM Transfer from PO Receipt

You can run a WBM transfer after a receipt, if the inventory was received into a non-WBM location (for example, a nominated receiving or checking location), and you want Greentree Desktop to assign WBM locations for put away.

The IN Transfer Details form displays when you click the Create transfer button. Enter the details of the transfer. This includes the location to which the received inventory is transferred to. This information is required:

  • Batch - Greentree Desktop generates this value.
  • Transaction type - The inventory transfer transaction type. You can select a different one if it is set up on the Transaction Type Maintenance form.
  • Last reference - If multiple receipt documents have had inventory transfers generated, the last document reference in the current batch displays here.
  • Branch and Location to - These default from the User Preferences form, but you can change them.
  • Tax code - This defaults using the selected transaction type. You can change it, but it must be a zero-rated tax code.
  • Reference and Description - Greentree Desktop assigns these values if you leave the fields blank.
  • Date & Posting date - These default to today's date.
  • Detail - This is not mandatory, but can add information about the transfer in this field.
  • Narration - Defaults to reference the purchase order receipt from which the transfer originated.

Click the Save icon to run the process and generate the transfer. For WBM transfer to locations, Greentree Desktop applies the receiving logic and allocate bins into which the inventory should be transferred to.
